Quilt Blocks

Quilt blocks are squares that have a pattern in them. Different shapes and pieces of material make up a block, and blocks are combined together to create the quilt. Quilts can have just one kind of block in them, or they can have multiple blocks.

Some quilt blocks are very popular, and have been used for many years. Others are relatively new. When you are making a quilt, you can decide which blocks are right for your project and how many you want to use. There are many books and patterns that you can buy to get ideas for blocks, and many websites you can visit and print out block patterns.

You can use as many quilt blocks as you want for any particular project. Some people make entire quilts without using any block more than once. Other people use the same block for the whole quilt but use different colors or materials for each block. You can create any kind of quilt you want easily.
