Cotton Quilt

Most people use cotton quilt materials when they make quilts. Cotton is inexpensive, easy to work with, and comes in a huge range of colors and designs. Just about any part of a quilt can be made from cotton.

Most fabric stores will have a large selection of cotton quilt fabric available. This material isn’t usually stretchy, and is usually sorted either according to color or theme. It can be great fun walking through all the fabrics and just seeing what is available to make a quilt out of.

For the middle layer, many people also use cotton quilt batting. This is easy to get and is much less expensive than other fillers. Cotton makes very comfortable and warm quilts that are inexpensive to make and can be washed occasionally.
